Center
From South Portland via Casco Bay Bridge:
As you exit the bridge and enter Portland, stay in the
right hand lane. Look for the first chance to take a
right hand turn, which will take you a short way to
Commercial Street. Take a left onto Commercial. Go about
1/2 mile. At the first set of lights, take a right into
the Portland Fish Pier. You will see a security booth
as you enter. Follow the drive as it swings to the right.
Stay on it and you will see ahead of you the Marine
Trade Center, clearly spelled out on the building. Parking
is right next to the building. If the lot is full, back
up to the circular parking lot, same side of the drive.
From South Portland via Veteran's Memorial Bridge:
At the end of the bridge bear right and follow signs
to Commercial Street. You will wind up on Commercial
Street without making any turns. Go about 1 1/2 miles
until you come to your first light. Take a right into
the Portland Fish Pier. You will see a security booth
as you enter. Follow the directions above to the office.
From Points North and West:
Head toward the Old Port of Portland. Get to Commercial
Street, the road that runs along the waterfront. Lowry
Legal Services is toward the Casco Bay Bridge end of
Commercial Street at the corner of Center Street and
Commercial. There is a light at this intersection. Turn
into the Portland Fish Pier. You’ll see two signs
and a guard booth at the entrance. Follow directions
above to the office.

From the Maine Turnpike:
Take Route 95 N or S to exit 6A, Route 295. Take exit
4 off 295 (Rt. 1/Waterfront) and follow the sign for
"Commercial Street/Truck Route" to the waterfront.
Take a LEFT at the first light. Then take a RIGHT at
the next light onto SPRING ST. The Hearing Office is
in the People's Heritage Bank Building at One Portland
Square, a high rise building with a "People’s"
sign on the top and front. Take a right onto Union Street
to go around the building to the parking lot. Park in
the lot behind the building and bring your parking ticket
in with you. The office is on the 6th floor.
From Freeport/Brunswick area:
Take Route 295 to Portland to Franklin Street (exit
7) which runs up toward the Old Port from Back Cove
in Portland. Go up and over Cumberland Avenue and Congress
Street and take a right onto Middle Street. Pass Market
Street and Exchange Street and you will come to the
corner of Union and Middle, with the Nickelodeon Cinema
(and lobsterman statue) on your right and the Office
of Hearing and Appeals in the tall building on the left
far side of the corner. This building says "One
Portland Square" on the front and has a "People’s"
Bank sign on the front and top. You will want to take
a left, go down one block, take a right on Fore Street,
and park in the large lot behind One Portland Square.
Bring your parking ticket in with you for validation.
The office is on the 6th floor.

From
the north or south on Rt 95:
Take I-95 South toward Newport/Augusta. Take Exit number
30 A toward ME-3/US-201/Augusta. Merge onto Western
Ave/US-202/ME-17 and head towards the state capitol.
As you head down the hill, look for the large "Edmund
Muskie Federal Building" on your right. Take a
right in front of the building and before you get to
Dunkin’s Donuts. Park behind the building in the
public lot.

Offices
of Hearings and Appeals, Bangor
From the north and south:
Route 95 to Bangor. Get off on the Union Street exit
(exit #47). Head toward Bangor on Union Street. Take
a left onto 14th street at the light about 200 yards
from Rt. 95 (gas station on left). Head to next light
and go straight across Ohio Street and down the hill
with graveyard on your left. Follow this road along
the river for about a half mile. You will see the Margaret
Chase Federal Building on your right at the first light.
There is a parking lot just past the Federal Building
on the right. You will need to go through security so
don’t bring any pocket knives or weapons of any
kind (such as mace). OHA is on the second floor (past
the Social Security Office) all the way down the hall.
You should sign in there and make yourself at home in
the waiting area.
